After Military Service
Appointed to QAIMNS as Matron 17th February 1903 She was involved in the formation of the QAIMNS and was promoted Matron within the service in February 1903. During the next 7 years she was Matron of Aldershot, Netley and Millbank hospitals. In 1910 she was appointed Principal Matron at the War Ofice. At the outbreak of war she went to France as part of the BEF. She was Matron-in-Chief of the BEF in France and Flanders. She remained in this post throughout the war. She was appointed GBE in 1918, recieved a bar to her RRC and was awarded the Florence Nightingale Medal, the Belgian Medaille de la Reine Elizabeth, the French Legion d?Honneur and Medaille des Epid?mies.. She was Matron-in-Chief Territorial Army Nursing Service from 1920 to her retirement in 1925.
