Deborah HURCOMB was born in Montreal.

Nursing Service in the Boer War

Sister Deborah HURCOMB was sent by Canada to care for the sick and wounded during the Boer War.[1][2][3][4][5]

Sailed in the SS Laurentian January 21, 1900. The Roslin Castle left Cape Town for Halifax, N.S., December 13 with the following (on passage home)... The Roslin Castle arrived Halifax January 1901. Sailed SS Corinthian January 28 1901 to Liverpool, then from Southampton on RMS Saxon, arriving Cape Town March 2, 1901.

Invalided home from 2nd tour.
