Sister Sarah FORBES was born in Liverpool.

Nursing Service in the Boer War

Sister Sarah FORBES was sent by Canada to care for the sick and wounded during the Boer War.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Sailed in the Sardinian October 30, 1899 arriving Cape Town December 1899. The Roslin Castle left Cape Town for Halifax, N.S., December 13 with the following (on passage home)... The Roslin Castle arrived Halifax January 1901. Sailed SS Corinthian January 28 1901 to Liverpool, then from Southampton on RMS Saxon, arriving Cape Town March 2, 1901. Departed Durban June 25, 1902 in SS Winifedian, arriving Halifax July 22, 1902.
