Biography
Miss Evelyn ALDER was born in Honition, Devon about 1869[1] [2]. She trained at the Royal Infirmary, Bristol[3].
Nursing Service during the Boer War (1899-1902)
Sister ALDER served in the Princess Christian’s Army Nursing Service (Reserve)[3], joining on March 23, 1900, although we have not seen her in any of the medal rolls. The 1911 census shows her working as a private nurse in Lymington[2].
Nursing Training
Sister Evelyn ALDER trained at Royal Infirmary, Bristol.
Nursing Service in the Boer War
Sister Evelyn ALDER served in Princess Christian's Army Nursing Service (Reserve), enlisting March 23, 1900. Her service number was 457.[4][5][6]
After Military Service
The 1911 census shows her working as a private nurse in Lymington.
