She was born in Cretingham, Suffolk, About 1866

Army Nursing Service before 1899

Alice Sweeting BOND served in the ANS alongside her sister Nellie Auger BOND. She enlisted in the ANS on January 27, 1892, and in 1898 was serving at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley[1].

Appointed Sister in the newly formed Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Nursing Service (QAIMNS) in 1903[2].
