Nursing Service in the Boer War

Nurse Ellena Philipson STOW was locally employed caring for the sick and wounded during the Boer War.[1][2][3][4]

The Queen's South Africa Medal Roll notes: p42: Joined for temporary duty from Station Hospital Ladysmith on March 26, 1900. Left on April 4, 1900 on leave and did not rejoin No. 4 General Hospital.[5]
