ANDREWS, Emily Hope

Biography
Emily Hope Andrews was born in Stoke Devonport, Hampshire about 1871[1]. She trained as a nurse at the Seaman's Hospital, Greenwich[2]. She enlisted in Princess Christian's Army Nursing Service (Reserve) (PCANSR) on May 4th 1900 and was given the service number 408[2].
Nursing Service during the Boer War
Sister Andrews served at No.1 General Hospital, Wynberg[3], at No.3 General Hospital, Kroonstad[4], and at Kimberley[5].
