Biography

Hannah ANDERSON was born in Wylam, Northumberland about 1871[1]. She trained as a nurse at the Crumpsall Infirmary, Manchester[2].

Nursing service in the Boer War

Sister Hannah ANDERSON joined the Princess Christian’s Army Nursing Service (Reserve) 12 May 1900[2]. She served in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Newcastle[3] [4] [5] [6].

Hannah ANDERSON is shown as a nurse on the Census in 1911[1], living in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
