Context
Army nurses have served on Hospital Ships since the formation of the Army Nursing Service in 1881. They have also served on transports giving care to sick and wounded soldiers returning to the United Kingdom. Sadly many nurses have lost their lives at sea either whilst serving on Hospital Ships, or whilst travelling to postings overseas.
This section of the site lists those pages where I have researched either ships or the nurses serving on them.
