Florence ABRAHAM was born in Melbourne, Australia about 1871[1]. The 1891 census shows Florence as a probationer at St George’s Hospital. She joined Princess Christian’s Army Nursing Service (Reserve) on May 4, 1900[2].
Nursing Service in the Boer War (1899-1902)
Sister Florence ABRAHAM does not appear on the medal rolls for South Africa, but the 1901 census shows her working as a military nurse at the Devonport Military Hospital[3] .
