Alice Emily André trained at University College Hospital, London. She joined the Princess Christian's Army Nursing Service (Reserve) (PCANSR) on May 4th 1900 and was given the Number 544. She was serving in South Africa on September 30th 1900[1]. She sailed for South Africa on the 4th August, 1900[2]. She served at No. 3 General Hospital, Kroonstad[3].
