Two nurses dressed in uniform, the one on the left sitting on a table and the one on the right standing, in a room with a large window overlooking Le Havre harbour. The nurse on the right is wearing the uniform of Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service (Reserve). Painted by Sir John Lavery in 19191. Although the title of the painting suggests she is a Sister, we know she was Staff Nurse CURRIER, Florence May.
